Important Notes

Please note that the Examination Board, and in particular its Chairperson, is not a complaints office or a hotline. The Board and its Chairperson are not responsible for general academic advising, organisational matters, or general enquiries regarding degree programmes, examination regulations, or degree course regulations. For such matters, please contact the Faculty's Student Administration Office (u.schmidt(at)hszg.de), the designated Programme Coordinator (see contact persons), or the Examination Office.

In accordance with § 9 (4) of the Examination Regulations, the Examination Board has delegated the execution of nearly all of its responsibilities to the Chairperson through internal procedural rules. During the last academic year (1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025), approximately 180 cases were processed by the Chairperson. Due to the high volume of requests, waiting times are therefore unfortunately unavoidable.

Tasks that cannot be delegated to the Chairperson are handled during non-public meetings of the Examination Board. The dates of these meetings may be obtained from Ms Schmidt at the Faculty's Student Administration Office (u.schmidt(at)hszg.de). Applications to the Examination Board can only be considered at the announced meeting dates if they have been submitted in full to the Chairperson via the Faculty's Office of Student Affairs by 12 noon on the Wednesday of the receding week.
