They are typically deployed at the numerous interfaces between management and technology. Furthermore, they are involved in tasks that have developed in practice as independent and cross-cutting functions."

Training Objective
Graduates of the interdisciplinary Industrial Engineering program provide the economy with experts who are capable of thinking holistically, as well as understanding and shaping complex processes.
Building on a solid foundation in business administration, natural sciences, and engineering, specialized knowledge and skills in the areas of production management and energy management are taught.
In the basic studies, the focus areas are in the fields of business administration, mechanical engineering, energy and manufacturing management, accounting, mathematics, electrical engineering, economics, law, computer science, and business informatics.
In the advanced studies, alongside subjects specifically tailored to the study programs, the focus is on advanced courses in business administration (e.g., controlling, marketing, business simulation, enterprise software) and engineering sciences (e.g., measurement, control, and automation technology).
